OK, we did not stop DeVos.  Don't let that discourage you.  In 228 years of the executive branch, the Senate has outright rejected only nine Cabinet nominations  We forced a tie, and the first ever tie-breaking vote by a Vice President.  This is a big achievement and you should be proud of that.

SO KEEP CALLING!  Remember that emails and faxes are a supplement to calls, they are NOT a substitute.  Keep calling. It is OK to call every single day. It is OK to email and fax every single day.  When your friends and family complain about what's happening, tell them that you are trying to stop it, and show them how.   Never doubt the power of a committed group of people doing the right thing.

So.... The next vote will be SESSIONS for Attorney General. We have very little chance of stopping this one. Yes, Sessions has a career full of disdain for civil rights and voting rights.  He's an all around rotten choice.  He is also a Senator, and when you combine deference to the President's Cabinet picks with the courtesy owed a colleague, we will not stop Sessions.  In fact, he will get Democratic votes, and we will have to make those Senators very uncomfortable later.

We DO have some chance to oppose PRICE for Health & Human Services and  PRUITT for EPA.  Check the Daily Actions link to get phone numbers, sample scripts to use on your calls, sample letters, fax instructions, links to email.... Pretty much all the info you need, but info alone won't get the job done.  We need you, me, all of us to take the time to make the calls.

PS - It's not much time.  Maybe two minutes per call.  You can do it!
